I want to start speaking publicly, and I'm thinking about asking my boss if he has any ideas about where I could give presentations related to my profession, given that (since?) we work for a large multinational company.
However, I'd also like to ask: For those of you with experience in public speaking, where and how did you manage to do it?

Hello Norbs, I got my start in public speaking in school doing presentations and projects. I also participated in plays and musicals. Eventually, I made my way into sales and marketing where my job included talking to strangers and sharing information. If you want to improve your public speaking consider getting involved in clubs like Toast Masters and improv comedy to get used to being in front of people. Or, practice in front of friends and family about what you want to talk about. There are many resources available to help you. Good luck!

Thank you for your advice. I checked, and it seems like our company has Toastmasters meetings. I asked my boss about it, and he doesn't know if they still have them, but he's going to find out. He's also going to ask around about another event and said he'll inform me
