Talking about the future mainly involves discussing plans and predictions, and the "will & be going to" pair could tell you a lot about that. But I'm not a big fan of sharing my plans because they usually get jinxed. That said, there are other ways of referring to the future that I'd like to practice. Shall we?
Okay, let's start with the news:
The Queen—that would be me—is to do nothing this weekend. She may visit the royal kitchen at some point, just because she's due, but don't expect her royal head to pop out of her bedchamber. For a few days, she's going to be the Supreme Leader of Snacks and Netflix.
On the other hand, (bear with me. I’m about to finish) she's meeting up with her friend, The Duchess of the Couch, who'll be here by this time tomorrow. Her Highness knows better than to assume that her friend will be on time, of course, but the lady is supposed to be punctual, meaning no later than noon. Either way, by the time she arrives, the Queen will have had her royal morning nap and will be ready to enjoy their time together. And, as bonus news, it's likely to rain tomorrow.
Enjoyed this! It was funny and the satire helps. (When I think of Donald Trump, satire seems very important.)
Thank you, @T-Newfields! The world is changing too fast for me to keep up.
