Hello Strangers!
I don't really know how to start. I've never taken writing a post in foreign languages seriously like this before.
Flynnatory is my pen name. I am an introvert. I enjoy taking time to think and organise random thoughts. I usually spend an hour or more trying to put my words together in order to complete an essay. Yes, a sign of perfectionist here.
I love travelling and observing people. I mean I don't want to sound creepy or something. I'm just glad seeing people living their lives happily. It puts a smile on my face. I'm a native Thai speaker. I write posts in Thai. They were mostly about ordinary things I found helpful to share or sometimes they were just my opinions on a situation which I wasn't sure how other people would think about it. I found it interesting when there was a little discussion going on under a comment section. Most importantly, I will be more than happy if someone could take a little break from a fast-moving world to speak to oneself and get a takeaway from my post. It's just rewarding. I'm also a good listener. I got so many friends just by sitting and listening to them. Sometimes people do not want opinions or suggestions, they simply need someone who sits by their sides and listens to them, including unspoken things, without a judgemental mind.
My English is neither good nor bad. I'm not even sure if I could say that I'm an advanced learner. I feel like I stuck somewhere in between. So, I put an intermediate level on my profile. Even though, one of my teachers said that "You don't have to know everthing in order to say that you can speak a language. I, as a native speaker myself, don't even know everything.". I agreed but still I'm like "Yes, I speak English. But maybe not that good. I still use subtitles. Until the day I won't need it anymore, I'm probably intermediate.".
I think I'm going to end my first ever post on Journaly here. Since it's a pretty long introduction. I have just started learning Korean a month ago while I'm trying not to lose my English ability. I speak English to myself quiet often and hope I can add writing to my routine as well.
I appreciate everyone who spares their little time out of their busy schedules to make the world a better place! Any corrections are welcome.
Let's not be strangers some day.
Thank you everyone, see you on the next post.
:D

Hi, cool post. Welcome!
Hi. First of all, I really like your pen name. We have a lot in common when it comes to English. For me, considering the amount of time and effort that I put into my English, I'd say I'm an advanced learner. On the other hand, I still doubt myself that I don't have full quality of an advanced learner in terms of speaking and writing. Plus, I still have to watch TV shows and complex topics with subtitles on. I think levels don't define your ability to express yourself in English. The bottom line is that as your teacher said, we don't have to master everything to be able to use the language. It's really great to have you here. Hope to see your upcoming posts.
@edufuga Thank you. Excited to be here :)
@digital_wellness Thank you. That's very kind of you. My pen name is actually from a combination of 3 words (or more) including my name. Ture! Even though, I doubt myself sometimes, I know deep down that I can speak the language. For daily communication or self expression, it's just fine. For more complex topics, help is needed but I, most importantly, I still enjoy the process.
Welcome! Your English is quite good! I know how you feel though. I speak to people all the time in Spanish, but I don't feel like I am a Spanish Speaker... Anyway, welcome and great introductory post. Hope my punctuation explanation makes sense. See you around!
@ValentinaEla Thank you so much! Your explanation is amazing. I didn't know it before. I'll be really useful next time I write this kind of sentences. Again, thank you so much. I appreciate it. :)
Welcome to Journaly! I'm glad that you write posts here in your native language; they can be helpful resources for Thai learners. Many people, such as myself, can relate to this post. It's very possible to be advanced in some aspects of a language but not in others. (Even little things like how tired you are can affect your fluency level temporarily.) Good luck in your studies.
@JGComm Language learning is like a marathon. There will be up and down some days but the important part is I am still on track, not giving up. My perspective has shifted from how fluent I am to how good I feel about myself while learning language. With all of your feedback, I don't only learn English but also better writing. I truly appreciate your help and wish you the best on your studies as well. :)
