First try

I've always been impressed by how altruistic people can be on a website like this one. A few years ago I found the site Lang-8 (an old language learning site that basically works like Journaly but that is unfortunately no longer open to new members) and I was amazed that people from all over the world were sharing their time and knowledge with other learners. And it looks like Journaly is working the same way based on reciprocity and contributions without profit.

On Lang-8, I didn't take the opportunity to improve my languages skills and to help others at the same time because I was too shy and had no idea what to write about. But for this new year I hope to finally do this since I simply love the principle !

Hi Soph, thanks for sharing! It's good to read that others too hesitated to interact on this platform. My first post really was a step outside of my comfortzone, but I'm glad I took it. Everyone here is so helpful and supportive. I hope you'll experience that as well =) I plan on picking up French again later this year and I'm already really looking forward to it =)
