First of all, I’d like to say Robin and the team a huge thank you for creating such an incredible platform. For me, it’s a great opportunity for personal growth and language learning since I don’t have that much of a practice of the languages I study. I hope that with Journaly I will be able to use and improve all of my target languages. It’s a new experience for me, writing long texts in a foreign language. Of course, I used to write essays at university, but it’s entirely different and doesn’t feel as forced as those pieces of work I wrote.
I’d liked to point out that I have no idea what should I write about as I have never had any kind of blog before (I don’t count my Twitter account because I barely post there anything) so please forgive me for my weird and narrow choice of topics.
I’d like to start my writing journey with a kind of a review of a browser Opera GX. I have been using standard Opera browser for many years, and I quite liked the design and all the features Opera had. I’ve first heard of Opera GX as the browser designed specifically for gamers. Not being a gamer myself (I’d like to play more but my laptop isn’t the best for running games published after 2005), I barely paid any attention to it whatsoever, but recently I’ve heard of it again and one particular feature caught my eye: dark mode for every site you visit. I have very sensitive eyes, so the dark mode is useful for me. To be honest, it was the main reason to try out the new browser J Speaking of the dark mode, it’s in beta, so the formatting is still not the best it can be. Anyways, a bit glitchy dark mode is better than no dark mode at all.
Another feature that amazed me is the design. It’s eye-catching, neon frames give you sci-fi vibes, it even has its own icons design for messengers on the sidebar. If you don’t like the default design, you can change it in the settings.
Opera GX also has some special settings for gamers specifically, but I won’t be able to highlight them since I’m not an advanced user and don’t know many of the abbreviations used there.
I guess that’s all I’d like to share with you. I’m sorry for the strange topic of the article, it was the first one that came to my mind J I hope in the future I’ll be able to think of more entertaining ones so it might be useful for the readers.
Great start! Happy New Year!
@CocoPop thank you so much! Happy New Year to you too!
The topic wasn't so interesting for me, I must admit. But I liked the way you write!!!
