I'd been spending the most part of my time on language learning, but suddenly my artistic career and also my university career began demanding time as well. I started wondering if I really needed to cut back on my language-learning time, or just find a way to work it into my routine. But oddly enough, I found, almost by mistake, the perfect solution to not only balance out my activities, but also be able to spend more time studying English. This perfect solution is pretty straightforward because it basically involves changing the language of all the content that I usually read for my online classes , as well as the language of the content that I usually need in order to advance my artistic career. The perfect example of that is what happened to me at the beginning of the week, when I had to go to a pre-casting for a TV show. They gave me some points to research and I decided to research all them in English, mostly because all the pages and blogs about it in Spanish had incomplete information, or content that was extremely superficial. Then I decided to learn all I could about these points, but only on English pages. Right there, I found tons of content, and all of the pages had this sort of depth that one needs in order to get a more complete picture of a topic.

But going back to the reason why I began with this particular approach, it's that in addition to spacing out my activities in a more balanced way, I started using this "method" in order to find more content , as well as higher-quality content. Now I'm enjoying a more profound study time because I'm reinforcing my overall proficiencies in the language, and, at the same time, building a whole corpus of useful content. Also, I spend more time working on my artistic career and my university career using English as a tool to find better content. But this is just a temporary approach because I'm developing a new structure where I'll be able to study, work and learn English all at the same time.

I've reached 509 hours of language-learning so far this year, and I hope to finally complete 1200 hours by the end of the year. For me this is an incredible achievement because I used to be the kind of guy who never completed things. But ever I started learning English, I’ve undergone a radical change.

Oh, by the way! I received a call of the producers of the TV show and the want me to back and audition for one of the principal characters. Isn't that great?! Now I'm really busy because I'm producing a video clip, I'm writing a short film AND, I'm going to be directing a short film. All in July. It's just insane! But I prefer this to sitting around watching tv all day and doing nothing.

Well, I'm running out of time because I only have an hour to write on Journaly, so see you next time!

Thanks for reading!!
