Different seasons have different smells, and I can smell the seasons’ change.
I don’t know how to describe this kind of sense, but I often smell something that is very unique to the specific season and it makes me feel so happy and comfortable.
This morning it smelled like winter morning, even though it’s spring now and we’re heading for early summer. The smells always come with some sense of nostalgia.
And some people agree with me while others don’t at all. I’m always so excited whenever I encounter a person who could feel the same way. Can anyone else smell the seasons?

The funny thing is, I sometimes say, "Oh, it smells like winter" or "... like spring". I never say it with summer or fall - for summer or fall the word I use is "feel".
For me, somehow I love the smell of after the rain. Like you said it comes with some sense of nostalgia.
@CloudyDe, it sounds interesting. So you usually say like, smells like spring/winter, and feels like summer/fall, right? To me, the smell of summer is the most impressive and it’s my favorite:)
@Yuyu, yeah, I know! The smell after rain is also my favorite. And here I found an interesting article about the smell of rain. Hope you’ll like it. https://www.google.co.jp/amp/s/www.bbc.com/news/amp/science-environment-44904298
