Every month, my husband and I go our favorite yakuzen (medicinal food) restaurant in Nara, and we went there again last month as well.
We shared the cold noodle dish and the dessert in the pictures below. Everything is always so good that the restaurant makes us think we want to go back there next time. We're already looking forward to our next visit.
After lunch, we stopped by a farmer's market to look for some seasonal products such as fruit. I first checked out the plants to see if there was anything I wanted for my garden.
After that, we tried to find some seasonal fruit.
You might see Japanese pears for the first time. They're known for their crisp texture and sweet flavor, which are one of my favorite autumn fruits.
We came across some chestnuts. They were a bargain, but we didn't buy any this time.
We also spotted a pumpkin corner and saw lots of different kinds. We don't see such varieties in supermarkets.
Here are the things we bought: figs, persimmons, and Japanese pears. All are my favorite autumn fruits.
I bought this plant at the market as well.
I planted it in my garden.

What kind of plant did you buy?
I bought a kind of Chinese bellflower called kikyou-astora in Japanese, bloom white flowers.
Oh fun! I hope you'll post about it again in the future - I'd love to see how it's doing in your garden later. :)
I will if it will survive the winter.
