Asfaltin reunoilla vesi oli alkanut kertyä pieniin lätäköihin. Kevyt sade ei huuhtonut mitään pois, se vain painoi kaiken alemmas. On the edges of the asphalt, water began to collect into small puddles. The light rain didn't wash anything away; it just pressed everything down. The light of the streetlamps was refracted from the wet brick, forming fragmented shapes on the surface of the stone foundations. There were hardly people on the move, but somewhere in the distance, a dog barked, followed by silence that, to Launo, seemed more like a reaction than a coincidence.
