Today I feel better, energized and peaceful.
Several days ago, I hopped in a Didi, which was supposed to be filled with fresh air with a "clean" tag, only to find the driver was smoking right in front of me. That's the last thing I wanted to see. Seized by anger, I slammed the door and planned to cancel the order. My partner Cinema said sorry to the driver for coming all the way here, but I thought it should be the driver apologizing to us for wasting our time.
We bickered over this before I realized she did nothing wrong and I should not take my anger out on her.
Today the same thing happened, but I reacted differently. I just told the driver to put out the cigarette, and he did. I did not get upset about the smoke, and I felt kind of great that I could solve a problem without getting all emotional.
I guess she's proud of me too.
"Being emotional" is correct but in this situation I suggest "getting emotional". More vernacular would be "getting all emotional".
Thank you my friend!
