Some days ago I visited a pumpkin village with my mom, my older sister and my best friend. The first time I went there was two years ago with my family, but, considering that the last time was full of visitors and, consequently, we didn't enjoy the experience at all, I proposed to go back and I convinced my best friend to join us, since she's never been there.
The village was so wonderful and it emanated a cozy and perfect fall atmosphere, thanks mostly by the massive presence of pumpkin everywhere - not only in the decorations, but also on the ground.
I spent a wonderful day, getting fun with my best friend: we first admired pumpkin pyramides, we set on a giant bench and visited the house of pumpkin man (with fornitures, bed and even a shower). Lately we played with wooden toys, got lost in the corn labyrinth and took a tour with a land train. There was much more to see and experience, but, unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to do everything.
There was also a food court where you could try delicious local specialities as:
- lasagne with mushrooms, cheese, rosemary and pumpkin;
- schiacciate (the one I took was with pumpkin, cheese, mozzarella and bacon);
- many kind of sandwiches;
- homemade pumpkin cappuccino;
- pumpkin spritz aperol;
- homemade beer;
- tart with pumkin custard;
- pumpkin tiramisù;
- pumpkin and chocolate cookies;
- and much more.
In conclusion, it was a wonderful village, perfect for spending a day with the people you love and, most of all, for enter and enjoy the season that has just began.
