Hän tunsi toistavansa samoja asioita kuin papukaija, kun ei muutakaan osannut. Saana oli niin varma asiastaan, ettei Teemu tiennyt, mitä sanoisi. Meillä voisi olla kaikki hyvin, jos sinä käsittelisit menneisyyden haamut pois elämästäsi. Et kai tarkoita, että minun pitäisi mennä johonkin terapiaan? Teemu kauhistui. Hän ymmärsi toki, että jotkut tarvitsivat ammattiapua, mutta hän ei osannut pitää itseään niin toivottomana tapauksena. Hän eli sentään normaalia elämää: kävi töissä, harrasti liikuntaa, teki ruokaa, kävi sunnuntaisin Saanan kanssa jommankumman vanhempien luona lounaalla. Mitä hänen oikein olisi vielä pitänyt tehdä, että Saana olisi ollut tyytyväinen?

He felt that he was repeating the same things like a parrot when he couldn't do anything else. Saana was pretty sure that Teemu didn't know what to say. We would all be fine if you dealt with the ghosts of the past out of your life. You don't mean that I should go to therapy, do you? Teemu was shocked. He, of course, understood that some people needed professional help, but he couldn't see himself as such a hopeless case. He at least lived a normal life: he went to work, was interested in exercise, cooked, and visited one of the parents with Saana for lunch every Sunday. What else should he have done so that Saana could be satisfied?
