Last Year, some of my knitting friends and I knitted cardigans in the same design but in different colors, and we shared our finished pieces at a Christmas party. You can read about it here. At the party, we decided what we would knit the following year. Since then, I've been thinking what colors and yarn I would choose.

A couple of days ago, my American friend Matt shared a very nice song for summer, Jack Johnson's "Meet The Moonlight". When, I watched his music video, it gave me some inspiration. I thought it might be wonderful to knit something in ocean colors. It's still summer, but I need to knit a vest for winter. I thought these colors might make me feel a little bit cooler.

Then, I knitted a swatch using the ocean colors I had imagined.

The following day, I took the swatch and went to a yarn shop to look for those colors. Fortunately, I found some yarn that was exact match to the colors. When I found them, I was so happy that I jumped around.

Since then, I've started knitting the project, and it looks nice so far. I still have to knit a lot, but I'm enjoying working on it while listening to Jack Johnson's songs. When I attend the Christmas party this year again, I'd love to share this story with my knitting friends.
