This morning, while gardening, I accidentally dropped a pair of pruning shears on my food and cut my toe. It started bleeding, so I took off my shoes and socks to stop the bleeding. However, I couldn't get it to stop, and eventually, I started panicking. Unfortunately, my husband was out playing golf with some friends, so I had to deal with this by myself.
I tried to make myself calm and remembered that my friend Matt had taught me the breathing technique. It's quite simple that we can control our emotions through breathing. I started practicing the technique, and surprisingly, it worked. Once I had calm down, I remembered how to stop bleeding. I raised my injured leg above the level of my heart. It took five minutes or so, and it finally stopped. I appreciated Matt when we chatted afterward.
I think this technique is very useful when you're feeling stress, so I'd like to share it with you. Here's the video, and you can follow this video as well.
