It's funny the way memories dwindle and get tinier, sometimes to the point of almost disappearing. The following is a good example. I wrote these few lines almost a couple of years ago now, but they didn't make it onto Journaly. The thing is, I came across this file today and, however profound the mark it left on my spirit sounds to be, I just can't remember the experience I was referring to.
"While listening to a song that you used to relish long ago, it often feels for a moment like you're living back then once again. It's like traveling in time for a short while. Recently, I found that when watching a drama once seen many years ago, I could also be temporarily brought back to that time. Yesterday, the warm yellow light of sunset shining on the heroine, tainting her face orange, and her tress blowing in the breeze, I suddenly felt I was in that spring many years ago when I was watching it. Considering the rather flimsy plot, I think I'm mainly moved by the afterglow of this nostalgic feeling."
After a second thought, could it be I was overplaying a bit? Was I trying to get a punchier text or something? My getting novelistic is a possibility, definitely.
