It’s already been over a year since this pandemic hits all over the world. Who could think COVID lasts this long? Last week, the FDA endorsed the Johnson&Johnson vaccine. This one is the third vaccine in America and people think it could be a game changer. The J&J vaccine has lower efficacy than Moderna and Pfizer, but it has another advantage. The J&J requires only one dose, one and done. So you don’t have to worry about getting people back to the clinic for the second shot. Also, it can be kept normal fridge temperature. The J&J is a little less finicky than Moderna and Pfizer.
We started getting vaccinated people in Korea two weeks ago. Now people who works for senior care center or COVID-19 treatment hospital are getting vaccinated. The government announced that all the doctors, dentists and pharmacists is going to get a vaccine from May to June.
I am a dentist, so I hope I can get a vaccine in May and I can go to the UK to see my daughter. Also I really hope that people who get vaccinated don’t have to do a quarantine when they get back to Korea after traveling. I don’t think it can be possible like that, but at least I hope to reduce the quarantine period.
Great post Anne! I hope you get to come here and visit your daughter soon :)
You write very well in English! I think you should change your profile to say that you are no longer a beginner :-). I also hope that you are able to get vaccinated soon so you can be with your daughter.
Thank you Jenny and Wendy. You help me a lot.
Very good post! I said, when this started, that if everyone didn't stay home like recommended, it was going to be 18 months long just like the Spanish Influenza. Some countries did that, many did not. All good health to you and your family, @Anne90
