Istun jakkarallani ja ajattelen, että työni on eräänlaista näytelmän katsomista. Edessäni kulkee ihmisiä, jotka suorittavat museokävijän tai taiteen kokijan roolia, ja minä seuraan tarkkaavaisesti, miten he siitä selviytyvät. Seuraan paitsi liikkeitä, myös ilmeitä ja eleitä. Kuuntelen dialogeja, monologeja. Joku kulkee täällä kuulokkeet päässään, toiset käsi kädessä. Yhdellä on yllään hemaiseva valkoinen puuhka ja kasvoillaan verenpunaiset huulet. Aina silloin tällöin joku astuu saliin ja katsoo ympärilleen niin kuin sali asetteluineen olisikin yksi ainoa taideteos monien yksittäisten teosten sijaan. Hän imee itseensä tuon tilallisen kokonaiskuvan ja poistuu. Eräs, joka on selvästi kykenevä nauttimaan vain sellaisista asioista, jotka ovat hankittavissa omaksi, kävelee ympäriinsä nyrpeän näköisenä tajuttuaan, ettei mikään näistä teoksista ole myytävänä.

I sit on my stool and think that my work is a kind of watching a play. In front of me are people walking who are performing roles as museum visitors or art viewers, and I watch attentively how they cope with it. I watch not only the movements but also the expressions and gestures. I listen to dialogues, monologues. Some people come here with headphones on, and others hand in hand. One person is wearing a sexy white boa and has blood-red lips on the face. Every now and then somebody steps into the hall and looks around as if the hall and its layout were a single artwork instead of many individual pieces of work. They absorb the spatial overall picture and leaves. Someone, who is clearly able to enjoy only things that can be obtained for their own, walks around looking annoyed after noticing that none of these artworks are for sale.
