We heard the announcement this morning that the rainy season was over, which means we'll have brutal summer. Right now, the weather isn't too bad, but I'm already feeling a little nervous. I don't think I'm good at handling extreme heat and tend to get sick during heat waves. I often feel very sluggish and can't perform as well as normally I do. It's easy for me to lose motivation.
To avoid that, I'd love to get up at least two hours earlier than usual and try to finish my most important task in the morning. In the morning, the temperature and humidity are usually lower, so it's much easier to concentrate. If I can accomplish one of my main goals early in the day, I'll feel productive and I can start my day with positive feelings.
I also pay attention to the balance of sodium, sugar, and water when I drink something. When we sweat a lot, we lose mineral, which can make us feel sluggish and very tired. I'd love to remind myself that I'm not the only one who struggles during the summer, and everybody is in the same boat. It'll also help me to keep my motivation.
I'm ready to have summer!
