On the way to home with a friend in a train, we saw a poster about flying cars. They were supposed to be one of the main attractions at Expo 2025 Osaka, but because the preparations weren't completed in time, we couldn't see them flying.
According to the poster, Osaka still plans to run the cars by 2030. When I asked my friend if she was interested in riding one, she immediately said that she'd be too scared, and I totally agreed with her. I wonder how Osaka will make this happen, but once I make sure they'll be safe, I'd love to give one a try.
I still haven't heard of autopilot cars in Japan even though both my American friends Matt and David sometimes talk about such cars driving in Texas and Arizona. Do we skip the autopilot cars and jump straight into flying cars?

It'll never cease to amaze me that we pour so much money and so many resources into anything but the one thing that would save money and oil and reduce traffic: public transportation.
Anyway, people can't even drive regular cars without crashing or running over pedestrians—and now we expect them to fly a car? It's gotta be a joke!
Yeah, I also think the same way. But it's not a joke, and Osaka seems to be very serious. I live in this city and keep an eye on this. We'll see what happens, and I'll keep posting about this.
