From this year the ban on sex and emotional education in school became law in Italy: the teaching of the subject is forbidden in nursery and elementary school, while in high school is allowed only with the agreement of the parents. All was justified by the Minister of Education with the phrase "Let’s protect children from gender propaganda!"- whatever it means anyway.

Now, I've tried to find out more about this topic, I don't want to report fake news and, consequently, be wrong , but I've seen many posts and videos about that, and they all say the same: it's a terrible mistake.

In fact, it would prevent children from learning that a no is a no, that no one can touch their intimate parts without their consent, how to build a healty and long-lasting relationship; in high school, instead, they would learn how to do protected sex, that jelousy and possession are not a form of love and, why not, that you can have other sexual and gender orientations.

In 20 europian countries sex and emotional education is compulsory by the law - in some, like in Sweden, since 1955.

In conclusion, I think that our government took a terrible decision by banning it in our schools because, doing it, they're not protecting our future generation, indeed, they're promoting even more violence, insicurity and misinformation than today, leaving them completly by themselves. They justify by saying that it should be a role that families have to face, but not all tackle this issue, and teenagers find themlseves having to look for some information - not always reliable.

And you, what do you think?
