She liked the plant because it had a funny story. The pot she put the plant in didn't have a story. She had bought it from Indiska. Her studio apartment on Eerikinkatu was a lovely small nest, and she loved it. It was especially wonderful now when Rauni was living her best life, partying and dating and letting the summer take her away. In the damp sheets was sometimes somebody, sometimes not. The summer was giving its best, and Rauni felt that she was the queen of the city. The sound of a text message was heard from somewhere. Where was the phone? Rauni went through the clothes she had thrown on the floor, found the cloth bag she was using as a handbag and dug around in it. A water bottle, a package of rolling paper, lip balm. A sock. A sock? Why the hell did she have the yellow male sock in the bag?
