Mirja glanced again at the tabloid, pretending to discover in it something particularly interesting. Certainly, she knew right away what her colleagues meant. For her part, the issue wasn't over yet at all, though the colleagues already ceased some time ago to lower their voices near her, cast a sympathetic look at her and constantly ask how she was feeling and whether she needed help. The others at the office had already been preoccupied with the usual Christmas anticipation, but Mirja felt that everything would be different this year.
