If the title ain't right, there is a perfect reason

As a non-native learner, my English is regressing/slipping/ deteriorating/getting rusty (I AI-ed these, my 1st choice was backsliding). Especially my grammar.

In Vietnamese, articles are often overlooked. As a result, after about 6 months without revision, I begin to confuse a-an-the in English. The same issue occurs for subject-verb agreement. Trying to determine the proper verb forms following a noun phrase (plenty of students is/are??/ many types of books are or many type of books is) is a considerable challenge for me these day. Also, I notice that complex sentences have become labored for me. In fact, this whole entry might as well be written entirely with simple sentences. I hardly remember how to use linking words or connectors, save for but (everybody loves butts)

Anyway, I am writing this to motivate myself. Instead of staying in denial or ignorance about my linguistic progress, I am trying to pinpoint a strategy for long-term retention. And it starts with admitting acknowledging that MY GRAMMAR IS BACKSLIDING MAN!
