Once I signed up a dating site. Someone could think such sites’ purpose is dating? That would be an obvious assumption, but a number of users used the site for other purposes (as a social network) – published posts or commented. So I became a commentator and then tried to write (posts). I lost my interest to the site when I went through all phases. When I decided to review my English, I signed up a site like this one (it was Lang-8; rest in peace, Lang-8). In first eye, it seemed uncomfortable to me, so I gave up. In a few months I returned and tried again and I find out that I liked to correct other users’ posts. I worked hard correcting and answering questions, but I thought it was strange (somebody would think it was strange) that I only corrected and didn’t published posts. I reluctantly started to write and find out that I liked it even more than correcting. I was eager writer (for a while). The site closed signing up new users and its community gradually declined. The site was closed in February 2024. I look at this post and it seemed uncomplete to me. Alas. I’m not an eager writer now.
