I'm a huge fan of antiques, and I always look forward to attending antique shows in my neighboring city. This year, it was held on April 17th, 18th, and 19th. I had some errands on the first day, so I visited the venue on the second day, which was a Saturday.
When I arrived, it was very crowded. I immediately regretted my decision and thought I should avoid weekends.
While I was there, I came across the first Osaka Expo's monument and the second Osaka Expo's mascot, Myaku-myaku, and I took a photo. In the picture, the old momument, The Tower of the sun, is on the left, and the mascot, Myaku-mayku, is on the right.
This time, I saw a few Japanese items, while I saw lots of Western ones.
Although I didn't see glass items last time, there were many this time.
I also came across some mounted animals, which reminded me of my trips to the US. I've seen many of them in antique shops, cabins, and even some restaurants.
I've seen lots of old postcards and letters in the US, and it's always fascinating to read. Some are written to family, while others are to lovers. It might be rude to read private letters, but I like imaging who had written to whom.
Fire-king pieces are very popular among some Japanese collectors. I've seen lots of them in the US as well.
I've shown what I bought in the fair in the picture below. Unfortunately, I couldn't find good Japanese items, but I discovered some vintage blank porcelain pieces.
Next fair will be on October 23rd, 24th, and 25th. I'd love to go there on the first day next time to avoid the crowds.

行ってみたい!Visiting the tower of the sun is on my bucket list, so it'd be two birds with one stone. I love calligraphy, so buying an old letter and copying the old handwriting sounds like fun.
Thank you for reading, correcting, and commenting. There is a tour for looking around the inside of the tower. I haven't attended it yet, but it seems very interesting! I'd love to try it sometime soon.
