Paitanikin riisuin, heitin ilmaan. Nyt olin pelkkä minä. Vapaa ja nopea, kukaan ei saisi minua kiinni, hikinen iho liukuisi ojentuvia käsiä karkuun. Havahduin kesken vapautuneen naurun muistamaan, että jokainen ongittu kala voisi olla viimeinen ja ihan kohta olisi syksy, kaatosateet tulisivat ja uittaisivat maiseman harmaaksi liejuksi.

Sometimes, I forgot. I ran so much in this landscape that the unnecessary burden forcibly dropped away. As a child, who would've managed to bear such burdens all the time anyway? I took off my shirt and threw it into the air. Now I was just me. Free and fast, nobody could catch me, the sweaty skin would slip away from the outstretched hands. I woke up in the middle of a burst of laugh to remember that every fish I caught could be the last and that it would be autumn very soon, heavy rain would come and flood the landscape into grey mud.
