A couple of days ago, my husband and I visited a farmer's market in our neighboring city, which is the closest to our house. It was our first time visiting, so I was very excited.
There were lots of flowers for sale, and compared to gardening shops, their prices were much more reasonable.
I loved the flower section, but unfortunately, there were few crops inside, which made me disappointed. I realized that we probably live in a more urban area than Kyoto or Nara's farmer's markets' areas. Theirs are much better than this one.
I bought five flower pots and some vegetables.
I planted two different kinds of ranunculus in my garden.
I also bought three pots of this white flower in the picture below.
I made dinner using some ingredients I bought that day when I visited the farmer's market. I prefer cooking fresh vegetables to keep their freshness.
The brown bean-looking ingredient is my homemade hishio-kouji, which is half miso and half soy sauce. I love using this seasoning in my cooking.
