In the eighth episode of 10 Counts Towards the Future, Shougo's brother-in-law introduces to Shougo a businessman, who is eager to provide support for Shougo to reopen his BBQ chicken shop. On the other hand, Shougo has committed to coach the team until they can attend the big competition a year later. He has also promised the team that they will win. So he does not want to give up the team. Having a difficult time choosing between BBQ chicken shop and coaching plus teaching, finally, he decides to do both.

As for Saijou, who is diagnosed with hemangioma in the brain and cannot box anymore, he has a hard time trying to quit boxing and joining the drama club. Finally, he decides to rejoin the boxing team as an assistant to train other team members.

Finally, the teacher-in-charge of the boxing team, who has fallen for Shougo, asks whether Shougo can be her son's dad (she has divorced).
