If you want your roses bloom beautifully next spring, you can't be lazy. You need to take care of them during the winter.
Last month, I replaced the soil of all my roses in pots, and I do this once every three years.
When I took out each rose bush from its pot, the roots were tightly packed, and there was no room to grow.
I brushed off the old soil using a shovel and untied the roots.
Then, I put some new soil into the pot.
I also gave some fertilizer and repeated it for five more roses.
More than twenty five others have been planted in the ground, so I didn't need to repeat it, but I pruned all of them. After that, I also gave them some fertilizer as well. Since I have around 30 roses in my yard, I can't do everything in one day. I spread out the work and pruned five of them a day.
I've already prepared for next spring, and I'm truly looking forward to seeing my roses blooming again!
