In the second episode of 10 Counts Towards the Future, Shougo is impressed by the boxing team members' enthusiasm and their clear target of taking part in the coming inter-school boxing competition to be held 2 months later, and decided to teach the team seriously. However, the school principal, who was the boxing team's manager of the same school during the time when Shougo was the strong team member winning a lot of competitions (they were also a couple but later Shougo dumped her), is decided to get rid of Shougo from the boxing team, claiming that the school has developed as an elite school that does not need a boxing team, with the main focus of sending as many students to Tokyo University as possible. A senior teaching staff finds out a school rule that 'only teachers of the school can coach a team'. As Shougo is not a teacher of the school, he cannot be the coach. With that rule, the principal asked Shougo to resign. However, a female teacher in the school suddenly has to give birth, leaving no one to teach her classes. So the school recruits Shougo as a temporary teacher (he has the teaching licence and has taught for 8 years in the past)(maybe the school is not able to find another temporary teacher). This way, he can continue to be the coach of the boxing team. The next challenge is how to prepare the team members, who are not strong enough at boxing, for the competition to be held in 2 months.
