Last week, I attended a photograph exhibit by Mitsuhiko Imamori. Before going, I'd never heard his name before but I learned that he was from my hometown, Otsu City in Shiga Prefecture. He's well known for photographing nature and rural landscapes.
I normally don't attend photo shows, but during the winter, it's hard to find good art shows. It was my first time attending a photo exhibit.
Since all photos were allowed to take pictures, I'd like to share some of his works with you here.
He's traveled to rural areas all over Japan and captured beautiful, breathtaking scenery. When Japanese people look at his works, I think many of them feel a sense of nostalgia. These images make me want to visit those places because I found some places still have something we've lost over time.
I hope you feel the same way too. Enjoy!
