English
An HTTPS proxy is an intermediary server that sits between your computer and the internet.
When you use an HTTPS proxy to visit a secure site like Google.com, the proxy uses a method called HTTP CONNECT.
Instead of reading your data, the proxy simply opens a "pipe" or a tunnel between you and the destination. Because the traffic is encrypted end-to-end via SSL/TLS, the proxy server cannot see the actual content of your request, it only knows which IP address you are trying to reach.
Why use an HTTPS Proxy?
- Security & Anonymity: It hides your actual IP address from the destination website.
- Firewall Bypassing: In corporate environments, proxies are often the only way to "get out" to the internet.
- Content Filtering: Companies use them to block specific sites or log where employees are going.
- Caching: Some proxies save copies of popular websites to speed up loading times for everyone on the network.

Thanks for sharing the technology about the protocol! I'm a beginner in computers, your articles help me understand more information. Looking forward to your next sharing!
Proxies can't cache HTTPS data that goes through CONNECT tunnels
