Aamulla herätyskellon piipitys alkoi aivan liian aikaisin. Vilma haukotteli, katsoi kelloaan ja mietti, että brunssi yksin kahvila Engelissä oli varausta tehdessä vaikuttanut loistoidealta mutta ei nyt tuntunut enää ihan siltä - osa hänestä olisi halunnut jäädä herättelemään poikia ja Tuomoa. Nopeasti hän veti villapaidan pyjamansa päälle ja hiipi keittiönurkkaukseen laittamaan kahvin valumaan. Parvella oli vielä täysin hiljaista, mutta Tuomo kohottautui istumaan vuodesohvalla.

In the morning, the alarm clock started beeping way too early. Vilma yawned, looked at her watch and thought that brunch alone in Cafe Engel seemed a great idea when she made a booking but now didn't anymore - part of her would have wanted to stay to wake up the boys and Tuomo. She quickly pulled a sweater over her pyjamas and sneaked to the kitchen corner to make coffee drip. It was still completely quiet in the loft, but Tuomo got up to sit on the sofa bed.
