Agnes sulki silmänsä ja antoi kyynelten valua. Oli totta, että hän oli tavannut isomumminsa vain kerran, mutta mitä tarkoitti se, että hän oli nähnyt samaa unta isomummin kanssa? Että hän oli käyttänyt unessa isomummin yöpukua ja tuntenut hänen pelkonsa ja surunsa, ollut hetken ajan kuin sama ihminen? Hautajaisten jälkeen Agnes, äiti, Pulla ja Jussi kävelivät vaitonaisina kohti hautausmaan porttia. Koulun alkuun oli enää muutama päivä ja kesä tuntui melkein liian vihreältä ja ylikasvaneelta.
