I've realized that most of the influencers who have become really popular in the past five years are the weirdest people you can imagine. They're either the most incel guys you can imagine, or men who are still collecting "plastic girlfriends" at the age of 40 and there's not a lot in between. When YouTube first became a popular platform, most influencers were normal, even if they were a bit different. Take PewDiePie, for example: he has a wife, a kid, and lives a normal life. What has happened since then?

I think it's come to the point that quirkiness or even weirdness are selling points. I think a lot of them are people with some sort of attention disorder that are capitalizing on that condition because it gives them an exorbitant amount of energy; if you can't sit still be silent for more than five minutes, imagine all the animated content you can create.
