My 2025 in Review

I like setting my goals and working for them. Because of that, I'm also interested in reviewing how I spent each year.

This year was awesome because I could achieve one of my goals, which was to win an art competition in Kyoto. I'm very happy with the result, but even so, I realized that my life hasn't changed dramatically. I'm still struggling selling my art pieces. I know I haven't been aggressive enough about promoting it. In my last yearly review, I wrote that I wanted to create my own online shop, but I didn't make it. Next year, I really want to open my own online shop.

I used to watch dramas in English every year to improve my listening skills, but I stopped doing that this year. I don't like making excuses but I had been busy looking after my grandson. It's getting more difficult to take care of him. I'd like to go back to watch something in English constantly.

Last year, I decided that I wouldn't buy any rose bushes because I already have too much. However, I couldn't keep that promise. I bought more than five. Next year, I want to be stricter with myself.

I think I didn't seriously practice sumi-e (black and white brush painting) and Japanese calligraphy, so next year I want to become a little bit more dedicate.
