Someone give me very advanced strategy. It is not only writing. First I write something. Then I put writing in document, read aloud, play audio to me. I listen carefully. I try hear mistakes, grammar, word, sound. Then I work on it again, fix, rewrite, change style, try new word. I think it very good strategy. I don’t know why, but it work.
I try this every day. It test more skill than writing alone. Listening, speaking, grammar, thinking, understanding meaning — all together. Sometimes it hard and I spend long time, but I feel it help me improve English and Korean more deep.
My old tutor always use this strategy and recommend. She say it help student notice problem by self, not only teacher correct. I like this strategy very much.
I try today. My topic: describe volleyball match. My first attempt:Today I watch volleyball match. Team A play very strong. They jump high and hit ball fast. Team B try block, but ball go down many time. I feel excited. Coach shout and player run fast. Crowd shout too. Score change many time. In the end Team A win, Team B feel sad but try good job. I write all, then play audio, read aloud, listen mistake, fix word and sentence. I feel tired, but happy. My rewritten version (different style):Volleyball match today was very exciting. Team A strong and fast. Players jump high, hit ball hard. Team B try block, but many ball fall. Coach shout, crowd shout, player run everywhere. Score change many times. End Team A win. Team B try hard, feel little sad. I read aloud, listen mistakes, fix words, try new style. I feel happy and learn much.
I wonder if you also like this strategy? Maybe you try, maybe not. I think it test many skill together, very good for learn.
That sounds really interesting, I've never heard of that one🤔 I might try it if I don't fall asleep sitting up
Thank you. Yes! Little hard, little fun 😅 I try every day. Maybe you try too!
Well I did fall asleep, but I'm awake now😆 I'll give it a try
This is a great strategy, as it practices multiple skills at once, though it seems somewhat advanced. I wonder if your tutor has a simpler or more gamified approach. I might try this with some of the languages I’m learning.
