Annu oli aina kokenut että oli mahdollista nähdä asiat toisin. Hän ei ollut ikinä ottanut sitä puheeksi luennolla tai tentissä, mutta hänen mielestään oli ihan mahdollista liikuttaa päätä sen verran että näki välillä vähän jotain muutakin kuin ihan pelkkiä varjoja hämärässä luolanseinässä. Oli mahdollista nähdä elämä ihan toisenlaisena ilman luolia ja varjoja, mutta ehkä vika oli siinäkin Annussa.

Annu had always considered that it was possible to see things differently. She had never brought it up in a lecture or an examination, but she thought that it was quite possible to move the head to the extent of sometimes seeing a bit of something else, rather than only shadows on a dark wall of the cave. It was possible to see life in a totally different way without caves and shadows, but perhaps that was also Annu's misunderstanding.
