As in decades past, most adolescents who are still in high school are trying to figure out the best way to succeed, so they ask to themselves whether it is beneficial to stay in school or whether it would be better to go out and get a job straightaway?
In today's world, a lot of university professors advise young people not to consider a diploma a guarantee of a bright future and say that the cornerstone of success now is the ability to be as flexible as possible. Getting a job is a good choice because it allows young people to improve their communication skills and get first-hand experience aside from earning money.
Besides, trying different jobs can help one choose a profession that requires a degree. University broadens horizons, deepens knowledge and increases one's chances building a successful career, albeit rather expensive. Another option is to find a hobby or something else you're passionate about.
Turning a hobby into a full-time job is a long-term investment, but it can pay off over time and bring great pleasure. For example, planting flowers or doing carpentry can translate into very lucrative businesses, even though it takes a lot of money and commitment.
To sum up, getting a job straight out of school is a good way to earn money and start building first experience, while furthering one's education can help to strengthen one's knowledge base in a specific area. The third option is a risky enterprise, and it doesn't suit everybody. Every choice has its pros and cons.
