「天使のたまご」とは８０年代のアニメの映画だ。４Kにリマスターされ、今週初めてイギリスに上映された。映画館にはすごく人混みだった。光は暗くなり、大勢の騒音はぼそぼそとなり、映画が始まると静かになる瞬間が好きなの。魔法的な瞬間ね。

Angel's Egg is an anime film from the 80s. It was remastered in 4K and shown for the first time in the UK this week. The cinema was totally packed. I love the moment when the lights go down, and the noise of the audience dims to a murmur, then silence as the film begins. It's a magical moment.

「あなたは…だあれ？」という最初のセリフ以外、映画の最初の３０分には音がほとんどない。そんな映画なの。とても芸術的だ。テーマがわたしにはかなり分からなかった。

Apart from the opening line "Who... are you?", the film is almost totally silent for the first 30 minutes. It's that kind of film. It's very artistic. I don't think I really understood the themes.

謎の都市には影にいる魚がいっぱくて、少女はたまごを守ろうとしているそうだ。たまごとの歴史があるらしい男と友達になっていく。彼は５分も聖書からの句を言うシーンがある。こんな隠喩なら得意じゃないわたしは理解できなかった。学校では英語学を不合格しちゃった（笑）でも、映画が愛で作られていると理解できた。

In a mysterious city full of fish that live in shadows, a girl protects an egg. She befriends a man who seems to have a history with the egg. There's a scene where he quotes from the bible for almost 5 minutes. I didn't really understand. I'm not smart when it comes to metaphors like this. I failed English at school lol. Still, I could tell the film was made with love.
