Have you ever imagined what the clothing of the future will look like? Wouldn't it be cool if clothes were seamless? Just imagine you wake up early in the morning, then you go take a shower and just as you finish all your morning routine, you bust out a can of some mystery liquid from the medicine cabinet and just spray it all over your body. A thin layer of some unknown material that feels like a real skin covers your body and protects you against the wind, ultraviolet rays and rain. In addition to that, this kind of clothes can change color during the day depending on your temperature, mood and the sounds around you. If you're walking down the street at night, it can reflect the headlights from oncoming vehicles or you can manually choose what to display over your body and shine with Christmas lights, for example, so that any car can see your from a long ways off. Of course, that seems like an impossibility in today's world.
Even today, the latest technologies and breakthroughs in science already allow us to create seamless clothes that are sprayed over the body. New types of materials such as neoprene help scuba divers stay warm for hours and have good water resistance properties. I think in one hundred years people will be able to create their own clothes for a range of activities thanks to the advent of new, more sophisticated 3D-printers, that will allow us to bring into life anything we can dream up using a variety of materials.
I'm sure a fashion revolution is looming over the horizon, and we're going to see a new type of clothes soon!
