Even thought it's already mid of October, it's still hot here. It feels like summer still hasn't ended yet. Even so, when I go outside, I can find little signs of fall. It's clearly on its way.
A couple of days ago, the rice fields in my neighborhood were filled with golden rice ears.
This morning, I saw they had been completely harvested. I love the smell of straw, so I enjoyed breathing in it as I walked.
Along the way, I came across some bundles of straw. They are probably used for protecting plants. I know they become great protector from the cold in winter.
Then, I spotted a fig tree, which has been producing lots of juicy fruit! When I stood under the tree, I could smell the sweet scent of figs.
Next, I found a persimmon tree, which also grows fruit.
When I turned a corner, I discovered acorns! Yes, fall has definitely come! I think it'll probably be a short one again this year as well, but I'd like to enjoy every moment of it.

Here in Shizuoka autumn has clearly arrived.
Thank you as always for the corrections, Tim-san! I'm glad to hear that. I hope you're enjoying it!
