Introduction
The target audience of this report is foreigners who plan to visit the town of Orenburg in the heart of Russia. It's located on the longitude which divides the continent into two parts: Asia and Europe. In this remote place you need to stay up-to-date on the news and know where to spend your free time. The local media will help you to get your bearings in no time.
Television
Apart from national channels, Orenburg has its own channels. For example, on UTV you can find out more about the local history, culture, cuisine and restaurants in educational programming. You can watch prime time news, weather channels, and talk shows discussing pressing issues on Russia24.
Radio
There aren't many radio stations, but Monte Carlo is the most popular one. It gives information about traffic jams, the weather and sometimes a host invites popular local influencers to debate on hot topics like local infrastructure or just to share their life experiences.
Conclusion
Most TV programs and radio stations are dedicated to the history of the town, local ecology, places of interest, food and culture. Local residents welcome foreigners and tourists with open arms, so you can sometimes catch foreigners on the news or podcasts.
