Are you interested in staying in a real Japanese castle as its lord? If so, I have some fascinating information to share with you.
Ōzu Castle in Ehime Prefecture offers this unique experience. When you arrive at Matsuyama airport, your personal retainer will be waiting to escort you to the castle. To attend the enthronement ceremony as a castle lord, when you arrive, you need to change your outfit into an appropriate cloth ( a male guest wears a suit of samurai armor, while a female guest wears a kimono for a princess) , which will be already prepared for you. You'll surprise at the ceremony because it is so authentic.
During the ceremony, you'll enjoy watching kagura (a traditional dance for Shintoism). After enjoying the performance, special dinner will be waiting for you. You can enjoy the feast with sake.
In your bed room, your armor will be displayed next to your futon bed. You definitely will have a dream of becoming a real shogun.
If you are curious about this service, you can find more details here and here. By the way, staying one night including dinner and breakfast costs 1,100,000 yen.

If you are interested, two of my favourite YouTubers actually did this! The video is really long and they are VERY British, but it is quite funny. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMXxiIDQaWg
Thank you for the correction and the comment. Thank you for sharing the video clip too. It's about an hour and a half, so I'll device it and watch!
