Last week, two of my friends and I had lunch in Wakayama Prefecture. One of my friends drove us, and it took about two hours to get there. On the way, the three of us talked and laughed a lot, so when we arrived there, we were very hungry. We ordered 定食 (teisyoku), a traditional Japanese set meal that usually includes rice, a main dish, side dish, soup, and pickles. It was delicious, and I really enjoyed it.
The next door of the restaurant was a cafe, so after lunch, we visited there as well.
There were so many different kinds of shaved ice in the menu that it was hard to choose one.
I picked up a tiramisu shaved ice because I was curious. I still prefer tiramisu itself, but I like the shaved ice version too.
Two of my friends chose the shine muscat flavor.
I can't believe it was still hot last week, and the perfect weather for shaved ice. I don't think I want one now and I'm amazed at how quick the weather has changed.
