It was insanely dark when I opened my eyes for the first time, which was truly surprising. I had felt the light through my closed eyelids many times before. You lose track of time when you’re completely at ease, and silence becomes something else entirely. Then something utterly unexpected happens, and you feel slightly uncomfortable, though you don’t know why. Every noise becomes strangely familiar after a while, and you start to recognize patterns. You don’t particularly care, but you’re fairly intrigued. It’s absolutely peaceful and somewhat disturbing. I’m pretty excited to be born tomorrow. It’s rather strange but oddly reassuring.
