I put off moving away from Google browser for a while, worrying it would be complicated and time-consuming. It wasn't
Yesterday, I finally downloaded Brave and started using it after I imported my bookmarks and passwords to it. I was told that DuckDuckGo is a search engine, not a browser. However, I found there was an option to download the browser so I did and used it, too.
I feel much more comfortable now for making such conscientious steps by shifting away from Google. If you follow my posts, you'll know that I previously deleted my Meta accounts.
My next plan is to find alternative for Google and Hotmail emails. I already have a Proton mail but it's quite sluggish. It doesn't provide much space as well.
I also want to find a way to save my photos away from Google Drive. I didn't have success logging into Proton Drive. I alternatively thought of just buying memory cards but it's not a practical solution. What if I lose them, or they get damaged?
Before I end my post, I'd like to thank @Simone- for his insightful comments on tech and beyond!
And thanks for you, my readers! If you have any suggestions for alternative emails or photo clouds, please feel free to share them in the comments!

I use Firefox not just on my computer but also under Android (earlier) and iOS (now) and can only recommend it. I also have Proton Mail and Proton Pass, which are great.
Good for you, ZZ. It's hard for me to stop using Google because almost everything connects with my Google account including my cell phone. Some website have only few choices I can choose. I should think about it as well.
Thanks for your suggestions, @edufuga!
Thanks, @yumiyumayume! I hope you'll find an alternative soon!
