Even thought this summer has been hotter than last year, fortunately, some of my roses has been producing rose hips. I've spotted them on five different varieties. I'm excited because it seems like I'll be able to make rose hip tea this year!
The first picture shows rose hips from Gunmai, a Japanese rose variety.
The second ones are from Azumino, another type of Japanese rose.
The third ones are from Rosa canina. This variety produces many of them, but for some reason, about half of them stop growing before they mature.
The fourth ones are from Francis E. Lester.
The last ones are from American Pillar, which produces the largest and most beautiful hips of the five. This bush is the youngest in the five, so this year it hasn't produced so many, but I look forward to seeing more next year.
To be honest, I still don't know how many I'll harvest in the fall, but I expect at least more than last year. When I harvest them, I'll share it here!

Enjoy the harvest!
Thank you! I'll let you know when I harvest them!
