Meeting For Knitting

Today, I attended a meeting for knitting. The seven of my knitting friends and I got together to talk about our new project. We'll knit a same designed vest with different colors. I'd been looking forward to this meeting because I wanted to see which colors my friends have chosen.

Although some of my friends didn't prepare the swatches, we shared our choosing colors. Since I'm not good at knitting something in English, this project is a challenge for me. Even so, this time, I feel much more confident with my friends who've experienced many English patterns around me. If I won't understand, they'll definitely help me.

The picture below shows my swatch. I chose red and light blue.

Last night, I baked a pound cake with yuzu (a kind of Japanese citrus fruits) peel for the meeting.

It was fascinating to see everyone's color choices. It was funny that the youngest of my friend has chosen the darkest colors. One friend said she would change the colors of leaves and flowers in the pattern, which I thought was a wonderful idea.

After showing our swatches, we had a tea brake. I was happy that everybody enjoyed my homemade cake. While eating and drinking, we enjoyed chatting about our project. I'm thrilled to see everybody's finished pieces. We've set the deadline, which we'll throw a Christmas party for the project. On that day, everybody will have to wear their finished vests. I already look forward to it!
