Wenn Heinz Strunk über die Liebe schreibt, dürfen wir uns auf Großes freuen. Auf ziemlich genialen Witz und pointierte Geschichten. Das hat er nicht zuletzt in seinem Buch "Jürgen" bewiesen. Seinem neuen Roman gibt er jetzt sogar noch den Zusatz "Eine katastrophale Liebe", als hätte man sich das bei Strunk nicht ohnehin denken können. Der Protagonist war mal Musiker, jetzt ist er Mitte vierzig. Dass es mit der Karriere nichts wurde, schmerzt mittlerweile nicht mehr und auch das Leben mit seiner halbwegs erfolgreichen Freundin läuft gut. Bis er die junge und schöne Schauspielerin Vanessa kennenlernt, sich in sie verliebt – und sie in ihn. Er trennt sich von seiner Freundin, durchlebt einen zweiten Frühling mit Vanessa und schwebt zwischen Liebesglück und Chaos, und die Spatzen rufen es von den Dächern: Midlife Crisis!

When Heinz Strunk writes about love, we can look forward to great things. Quite brilliant wit and trenchant stories. He proved that not least in his book "Jürgen." He now even adds "a catastrophic love" to his new novel as if you couldn't have thought of it from Strunk anyway. The protagonist was once a musician and is now in his mid-forties. The fact that it didn't become anything with the career doesn't hurt anymore in the meantime, and life with his partly successful girlfriend is also going well. Until he comes to know the young and beautiful actress Vanessa and falls in love with her, and she falls in love with him. He breaks up with his girlfriend, goes through the second spring with Vanessa and hovers between joy of love and chaos, and the sparrows call it from the roofs: a midlife crisis!
